Here at High Adventure, we believe in making the outdoors memorable.
High Adventure was originally set up in 2001 by a small group of ex-teachers who wanted more from an outdoor centre than what was being offered. They started with a simple aim; To build an outdoor education centre with high levels of activity that is safe, fun and educational whilst also providing teacher friendly customer service.
Today, the activity centre is still owned and operated by avid outdoor enthusiasts with a strong background in training and management within the outdoors sector, with over 20 highly trained instructors on staff.
Each of our instructors are appropriately qualified and extensively trained first aiders. We take training very seriously and ensure each of our instructors work towards additional qualifications under the following schemes – to ensure we are continually providing the best service:
As professionals, safety and quality are our main priority. We provide enjoyment, achievement and adventure while promoting independence in a challenging, exciting yet controlled environment. Our specialist background makes us acutely aware of the needs of both staff and pupils on such visits.
The main centre is perfectly placed in the stunning Yorkshire Dales with summer camp options in West Lancashire, Cheshire, rural Staffordshire and Worcestershire; making High Adventure OEC perfectly placed to meet the needs of your group.
We also operate a 150 bed residential centre on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales all year round and five summer camp tent villages which can each cater for groups of 240 operating from May to August.
All venues provide our groups with a full multi activity outdoor pursuits programme (including evening activities) along with accommodation, meals, specialist equipment, excellent instruction and much much more…
