Do you want to be an outdoor instructor, facilitator or educator?

Our scheme has 4 different levels in which it can be entered, however most enter at a 1 or 1.5 year level then stay on to do the 2nd and 3rd years. In some cases instructors have stayed on to become part of our Senior Team or Summer Camp Managers.

1st year is often referred to as a Trainee year and the 2nd as the Developing Instructor year, however all year levels are considered instructors and as such will work with groups as soon as appropriate.

All year levels get:

  • Full in house training.
  • National Governing Body registrations.
  • National Governing Body training and assessments.
  • Own private room in a shared staff house.
  • All housing costs covered: water, gas, council tax, electricity, internet, TV licence.
  • Food: available at centre plus a monthly allowance to supplement.
  • Technical staff uniform. 
  • Access to all High Adventure vehicles and equipment.
  • 28 days holiday. 
  • Monthly allowance

Apart from your own fuel, beer and any kit you wish to purchase through our pro-deals, you have very few expenses whilst on the scheme.

Requirements to apply:

All positions are subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service Check.

At all levels we are looking for people passionate about being in the outdoors who are problem solvers with a people focused approach.  Your focus will be to crack on with the job in hand, delivering high levels of activity that are safe, fun and educational.

1st year: Full UK Drivers licence.

1.5 year: Full UK Drivers licence and at least 1 or more NGBs

2nd year: Minibus licence with CPC card and Tacho card, plus multiple NGBs, ideally what we offer in 1st year.

3rd year: Minibus licence with CPC card and Tacho card and all of the NGBs we offer in 1st & 2nd year.

The scheme itself begins each January however we accept applications all year round for the following year.
