We're a premier outdoor education provider based on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, owned by former teachers, providing over 20 years of exemplary service to primary & secondary schools, groups & families.
Our professional and dedicated team are here to help you get the most from your visit and we’re proud to offer bespoke primary & secondary school trips, tailored to meet your school’s objectives.
The magnificent Yorkshire Dales provide us with a wealth of world class venues for our off-site activities like caving and watersports. While most clients will combine on-site and off-site activities our excellent on-site facilities mean you could enjoy your entire trip at our centre.
We also have an Adventure camp in Lancashire available from May-July each year & organise Multi-Activity Holiday Clubs, Adventure Parties, Cycling events and more!
New for 2025- we have Woodside Adventure Camp coming to HA, which is hugely exciting and we have lots of amazing plans! Watch this space!

Made by teachers, for teachers. High Adventure is owned & run by former teachers, our school trips have been carefully designed to offer a high quality experience and our 90% re-book rate reflects this.
As a small & friendly centre, we're able to provide a personal service ensuring that school groups have bespoke programmes, a designated Group Leader, excellent pre-travel support, home-cooked meals, bedding & waterproofs provided and comfortable indoor accommodation that offers a home from home.

You can book your school residential trip with us in absolute confidence because we only ask for a small upfront deposit before your trip and then you don’t pay us anything until AFTER your trip. This gives you complete peace of mind. We also have Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge & AALA License and our staff are all DBS Checked.
Quality Instruction
We're proud to recruit and train the best instructors to ensure our activity programmes are engaging, motivating and fun. Our bespoke activity programmes enable you to design & influence your own activity programme in advance to suit your pupils. This means you'll know what you'll be doing well ahead of your trip.
With highly qualified staff, we can deliver both on & off-site activities with opportunities for your group to enjoy real outdoor activities on crags, reservoirs and caves (mini-buses included) if you wish. Or, you can make the most of our extensive on-site activities with plenty of rainy day activities & waterproofs available (not that it ever rains in Yorkshire of course!)

With 32 activities to choose from, you're spoilt for choice. From climbing & high ropes to water sports & caving, you'll pack a lot of fun in to your High Adventure trip. Tell us your preferences on booking (if you can make your mind up!)
Low
Deposit
We want you to make things as easy as possible for you when you book your trip.
Our Low Deposit scheme of £1000 +VAT deposit prior to your trip means you can have complete peace of mind when you book with us. Your balance isn't due until after you've travelled.
KS2 Experts
Our Small & Friendly Centre offers the ideal environment for Primary Schools and we pride ourselves on offering younger groups a friendly space to enjoy outdoor education with activities that engage, inspire and enthuse young pupils.
Going away from home can be particularly daunting for younger pupils which is why we make sure you receive a warm welcome and an itinerary packed with fun. High Adventure is a smaller centre, offering a safe & relaxed environment with exceptional staff, a great selection of activities and cosy rooms, many of which have en-suite facilities or toilets very nearby. We offer exclusive accommodation to primary schools so you're never with older pupils which makes the High Adventure experience relaxed, enjoyable and a lot of fun!
