Making full use of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep and onsite mini-buses, our bespoke adventures can offer you so much more than the traditional Outdoor Centre making our trips ideal for secondary schools. From caving in real caves and gorge scrambling to a range of reservoir water sports including the popular giant SUPs, your trip can be as adventurous as you want it to be!
We also have excellent on-site facilities such as 10m Climbing walls, a range of high ropes elements, drying facilities, water proof gear, chill out rooms, surrounding countryside and the list goes on...
Whether you're looking for a multi-activity residential where you get to choose your own programme, a year 7 team-building trip, Adventure Day, a more affordable winter residential or GCSE PE courses, we can tailor your trip to suit your year group and activity preferences. As a small, independent company, we're able to offer a personal service like no other whilst also having decades of experience and all the important accreditations. Our low upfront deposit of £1,000+VAT makes booking a trip with us easy and worry free, with nothing else to pay until after you've travelled. Teacher owned, we understand what schools want and work hard to meet all your objectives and make things as easy as possible.
Multi-Activity Residential
Our popular multi-activity residentials are bespoke so you can choose from over 30 activities and create your own residential to suit your objectives and preferences. From caving to high ropes, water sports to team building, we have plenty to offer. Open all year round, you can take your pick on when to visit.

Team-Building
Our much loved Year 7 Team-Building residentials aim to help pupils with self confidence, make friends and form bonds with teachers. The ideal trip is 3 days, 2 nights and will include a range of on-site activities and water sport sessions as well as team-building exercises. Give your pupils the best start to secondary life.

Offers
Every pupil should get to go on a school adventure so we have created a selection of winter offers, now available between November & February starting from just £75pp+VAT. Our excellent indoor facilities and cosy rooms provide a warm and dry environment, with waterproofs provided for outdoor sessions.

GCSE PE
Courses
We're one of the leaders in delivering GCSE PE courses and have built up an excellent reputation for our high quality, supportive courses and results. Our most popular activities are climbing & cycling but we can also deliver a range of other outdoor activities to suit your syllabus requirements.

Cambridge Nationals
Acting as technical advisors, we assist in the practical element of the Cambridge Nationals for schools and colleges across the country. Our role includes teaching and assessing all techniques and skills as outlined by your relevant assessing board specification.

High Adventure offers one of the best UK Outdoor Adventure residentials for years 7-11, with an excellent range of off-site activities making full use of the local area including real caving in the Yorkshire Dales, water sports, rock climbing & more. We also have a great selection of on-site activities with a high quality indoor climbing wall, outdoor climbing wall, high ropes courses and more! We will work with you to create the best adventure residential for your pupils to meet your objectives and offer a fun-filled experience and a range of learning outcomes.
With 30 activities available, you'll be spoilt for choice. All activities are delivered by our DBS checked, qualified enthusiastic and professional team of instructors who will give your pupils a fun-filled session that builds confidence and encourages team-work. Canoeing

Caving
A session exploring the underground world of limestone caves and passageways in the Yorkshire Dales. Groups will learn about the processes involved in the creation of caves and the unusual formations seen.
Giant SUPs
Our Giant stand up paddle boards are pretty unique, 5m surfboards that will take 8 group members who stand and paddle the board. A very wet session that will be full of laughs...
Leap of Faith
Up to 3 children work together to reach the top of our 8 metre Jacobs ladder challenge; Climbing horizontal beams that grow ever further apart some clever ‘out of the box’ thinking and innovative ideas will be needed...
Labyrinth
Always one of our most popular sessions; an indoor underground maze, bringing caving indoors. Two levels of passageways and chambers with obstacles along the way. Pupils will explore the maze trying to find locations and different exits...
Archery
Following an introduction, pupils receive coaching for their first arrows, until they are confident and have the skills needed to get arrows on target. Pupils use bows appropriate to their size and strength...

Accommodation
We are a premier outdoor education provider in Yorkshire with modern, comfortable rooms, en-suite facilities available, plenty of social areas, canteen & excellent on & off-site, indoor & outdoor activities. We're really well set up for adventure and provide wet weather gear, wet suits and have drying rooms on-site. Teachers have access to a kitchen, lounge & wi-fi.
We are able to facilitate up to 151 visitors in total, with the many of the rooms having en-suite facilities and/or ample toilets and showers on the same floor, close to rooms for easy access.
Our site has two accommodation buildings. The main 93 bed centre is complemented by an additional 59 bed Primary school focused building called The Nook.
The Nook is a self-contained accommodation building designed for the use of primary school groups of up to 57 students and 7 teachers. It has its own dining room, social spaces and teachers’ lounge. The Nook is separate to the 100 bed main centre accommodation. Both buildings can be booked for exclusive use.
The main centre has multiple breakout areas and additional entertainment.
Offering plentiful, home-cooked food with locally sourced ingredients, we have fantastic on-site catering facilities with a set weekly menu you can view here.
Our wonderful domestic staff are also able to cater to a wide variety of dietary requirements.
