Our Primary School Adventure trips are either 2 or 4 nights and available all year round with some great winter and early spring deals available for those on a tight budget.

At High Adventure we don’t just provide a school trip, but also an extensive outdoor learning experience that ensures each and every child not only participates and has fun but also develops. With excellent onsite facilities, we can provide a fully onsite programme, if you wish. We can also include a range of exciting off-site activities that make the most of our picturesque Yorkshire Dales location. Using our minibuses, we can include a water sports day, caving and even a trip to Malham Cove and the Ribblehead Viaduct. It’s completely up to you!

All of our primary school trips are bespoke and curriculum linked with all modules specifically designed to contribute strongly to learning across the core subjects. You’ll receive your itinerary well in advance and we’ll make sure it is exactly what you want before you arrive.
Exclusive accommodation for primary schools
We also provide private & high quality accommodation, purposely designed to accommodate primary schools. The Nook, as it is known, is a self-contained accommodation building designed for the use of primary school groups of up to 57 students and 7 teachers. It has its own dining room, social spaces and teachers’ lounge. We guarantee exclusivity of this building if your school brings 40 paying people. Or you can have exclusivity of your own floor if you bring 29 paying people or more.
As former teachers ourselves, we understand how daunting planning a trip can be for teachers and group leader, so we do our absolute best to make it a simple process. All relevant paperwork is available online in our Resource Centre and we are always on hand to walk you through your booking, giving you more time to focus on what matters!

Our purpose built accommodation for primary schools offers you exclusive use of your own building when you bring 40 or more, sleeping up to 57 pupils and 7 teachers in comfortable dormitory rooms and twin rooms for teachers. Designed with younger groups in mind, it offers a home from home with bedding provided, relaxed social spaces and a dining area within the same block to relax in and make your own. We can also offer exclusive use of your own floor when you bring 29 paying people or more so plenty of options to make sure you have your own space.

Our High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre is ideally located near Skipton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, with excellent transport links and easily accessible. Set in the Yorkshire countryside, in the great outdoors we’re ideally located to offer an excellent on-site activity programme with high ropes, indoor and outdoor climbing walls, zip wire, sheltered archery range and more, delivered by our qualified team! Within walking distance is Earl Crag which offers great rock climbing and weaselling opportunities. Nearby is a pretty reservoir where we can offer a range of water sports including kayaking, raft building and stand up paddleboarding, the ideal introduction to water sports for KS1 & KS2. Further afield there are some other excellent activities including caving (for the more adventurous) and a day trip to Malham Cove and Ribblehead Viaduct.

Activity programme for primary schools
When you book a trip with us, we will work to create the best programme for your pupils. We offer 2 & 4 night programmes and your activities can all be on-site making full use of our excellent facilities or can be combined with an exciting range of off-site activities, utilising our minibuses.
Our aim is to deliver a fun & engaging multi-activity residential that builds confidence and introduces children to a range of experiences.
From climbing walls to rock climbing, water sports to bushcraft we have something to suit every primary school looking to offer their pupils a great selection of outdoor activities, with plenty on the list that they will not have experienced before.
